beefing

Basically whatever happens to irritate me. Probably quite trivial but then why not? After all, the First Admendment says I can (but then the new Supreme Court may change that...)

birthday greetings? Lost in the mail?

I had my birthday yesterday and got a present from my wife
and one from my Mother (actually a combined gift for my
wife and I) and cards: one from my Mother and one from my
wife's Aunt Jeanie. I didn't get cards or email from any
of my three brothers. Now, one brother was out of town,
another still remembers disowning me around 1997 and the
third hasn't bothered reconnecting his computer after his
divorce. None the less, I think they could have made the
effort; my feelings are hurt!

What makes it worst is the third brother tells me
"I'm his favourite brother" over a beer and then
promises to send me a birthday card. I don't remember the
last one he sent...

Oh, well, whoever said "brotherly love" obviously
forgot the cavete of "as long as you're living at home
with your parents enforcing that "brotherly
love
!
