Huckabee, Smuckabee...

Mike Huckabee was talking about "Conservative Principles" to a Conservative Organization. What he was calling "Conservative Principles" sounded like common American Principles, the ones we were taught in High School.

It really pissed me off that the Right Wing Religious Republicians have co-opted

• God to themselves
• Family Values to themselves
• Patriotism to themselves
• and the mantle of being right (correct) to themselves!

Contrary to what they apparently think, Liberals (not "Libs") and Democrats (not "Dems") have just as much right to these principles as "they" do! We are not "commies" or "traitors" and certainly aren't anti-Christian or any of the other slandars that Ann Coulter and Rush the Oxyconton fan can spew out!

I recently switched from Republician to Democrat. I hadn't really planned on doing this but my Republician Party disappeared years ago. The Republician Party of today is nothing like the Republician Party of Barry Goldwater (whom I campaigned for in 8th grade) and Richard Nixson.

The Republician Party no longer seems intrested in fiscal responsible. It seems more interested in keeping the rich rich, rich corporations rich, surpressing gays and basically anti-sex. I'm disapointed...
