beefing
Basically whatever happens to irritate me. Probably quite trivial but then why not? After all, the First Admendment says I can (but then the new Supreme Court may change that...)

end the murders (second take)
This morning, while listening to the news, I realized I have become an anti-assault rifle person. Ban the damn things; only the Armed Forces need them!
Last night, I was shocked and horrified when the news broke about yet another mass murder event. This time it was killings at the Gilroy Garlic Festival in Northern California. It was reported the "shooter" had cut through the fence (avoid metal detectors) and opened fire with an assault rifle. Police returned fire in perhaps a minute but the "shooter" still was able to kill three and wound eleven. Sadly, the police had to kill the "shooter" to stop him.
There are no "dangerous weapons". "Dangerous weapons" are simply complicated machines which gather dust when racked in store rooms. It takes an "operator" to turn these machines into "dangerous weapons". Figure out why some go on mass killing sprees and treat them. "Dangerous weapons" should be in museums so that people can admire the engineering and be horrified that "shooters" once went on killing sprees.
On the subject of banning rifles, I don't see need to ban all rifles. Single shot rifles and hard to load multi-bullet rifles don't seem useful at these types of mass murder events. I support hunting for game (iffiff the hunter eats his prey).
iffIFF is "If and only if".
the murders must end!
Shit!

Interesting quote from "The Carpet People"
Hi – I'm reading "The Carpet People" by Terry Pratchett and wanted to share this quote with you.
"I wrote that in the days when I thought fantasy was all battles and kings. Now I’m inclined to think that the real concerns of fantasy ought to be about not having battles, and doing without kings."
