beefing

Basically whatever happens to irritate me. Probably quite trivial but then why not? After all, the First Admendment says I can (but then the new Supreme Court may change that...)

Go Vote Today!!!

Der
Tag!

This is the day to vote for the man you would
have as President!

Go out and vote!

I've read that in Russian, "to be
silent"
,
is an active verb. In the context of the 2004 election, this
means
that not voting is actually a vote for whoever your neighbors and
folks you'll never met will vote for! If you're fine with surrendering
to the collective will of strangers, then don't vote. (But if you don't
vote, you forfeit the moral right to complain about the actions of the
man elected!)

Be a man or woman (as the case may be) about
this and vote! At least you will  earn the right to
be bitter about the outcome; you could also earn the right
to gloat about the outcome of the election and to celebrate.

BTW, while this note is expressly about the
US Presidential election, it also applies to all other
political
races. Thus, the use of "man" should not be taken as a "don't
vote for women
". There are many fine female candidates undoubtedly
worthy of election. The state I live in has a female governor  who
has done a fine job.
