beefing

Basically whatever happens to irritate me. Probably quite trivial but then why not? After all, the First Admendment says I can (but then the new Supreme Court may change that...)

Interesting quote from "Robert Heinlein's Expanded Universe: Volume Two"

Hi – I'm reading "Robert Heinlein's Expanded Universe: Volume Two" by Robert A. Heinlein and wanted to share this quote with you.

"As for sex, each generation thinks it invented sex; each generation is totally mistaken. Anything along that line today was commonplace both in Pompeii and in Victorian England; the differences lie only in the degree of coverup—if any."

Interesting quote from "Straight Outta Tombstone"

Hi – I'm reading "Straight Outta Tombstone" by David Boop and wanted to share this quote with you.

"The American West was not the most miserable land I had ever traveled, but it came quite near to it. It was the scenery, more than anything, that drove the spirit out of the body—endless, empty plains that did not so much roll as slump with varying degrees of hopelessness, with barely a proper tree to be seen. The late summer sun beat the ground into something like the bottom of an oven. “I grow weary of Kansas,”"

Barr Folds

The Attorney General has been refusing to give the House information the House is entitled. The House threatened contempt action against Barr and he caved. Barr said he would give the House requested information if the House would just not hit the AG (Barr) with that Contempt Action.

What is the old saying?  When you have them by the balls, their hearts and minds come right along...

tRump in London

Well, according to the news several hours ago, tRump hasn't screwed the poich. Maybe it is too late for this today? (It is 4:09 PM CDT)

tRump - first day in London

I was wondering what "The Donald" would do to piss off the Brits but I never expected him to piss on them as the people's airplane was about to land!

I could not have expected "The Donald" to start a pissing contest with the London Mayor! I did expect him to continue insulting the American born Royal Consort and did expect him to further piss off the outgoing Prime Minister. What an embarrassment!

After "The Donald" refused to join European Leaders at visiting a cemetery on 11 November 2019 because it was raining, I see the bar on his behaviour as being very low. I am hoping it rains in Normandy on Thursday (6 June 2019) just to see if he has learned that he can wear a rain hat and long rain coat. (Like he could have on 11 November 2018).
