beefing

Basically whatever happens to irritate me. Probably quite trivial but then why not? After all, the First Admendment says I can (but then the new Supreme Court may change that...)

Commentrs on the 2006 Emmies or 3 hours that I an't getting back...

And the Emmies with Connon O'Brien?

Connon sucked, his "humour" was flat and it was actively aggreviating to watch him. I kept wondering "this is supposed to be funny"?

The stars who introduced the winners and the winners were adequate.

The cleaveage was awesome! There was one tall slender pseudo-blond who wore a very low cut red dress, with a complicated red jewel in her magnificant cleaveage. (Actually, the cleaveage was the valley between her very fine breasts...)

I just tried finding who did what at the Emmies with no success in my efforts. Oh, well, maybe tomorrow?

POTus (President of the United States) on 9/11...

Q: What did Iraq have to do with that?

A: What did Iraq have to do with what?

Q: The attack on the World Trade Center?

A: Nothing.

-- President Bush, at a recent press conference

The California raising of their minimum wages, comments on...

"Employers are in the best position to decide what a job is worth."

This was heard as California employers protested the major minimum wage hike (and a minimum hike it was!) in California. If employers truly decided what to pay employees, it would be as little as possible. Employers decide the wages above minimum and bid for the workers. A wage is the mimimum wage requried to get an employee. (Actually, this isn't really true. I'm overpaid and my wife is underpaid. However, I'll never give up my "surplus pay"; I have uses for it: mouths to feed, house payments to make, medical expenses, etc. Oh, yes, too many taxes...

Is this really CNN???

"Might some argue, as some have, that Lamont is the al Qaeda candidate?"

-- CNN Headline News anchor Chuck Roberts

This sounds more like something you'd hear on Fox - the "Fair And Balanced" network (speak that with irony!).
