beefing

Basically whatever happens to irritate me. Probably quite trivial but then why not? After all, the First Admendment says I can (but then the new Supreme Court may change that...)

Gore Loser

I am a Gore Loser; that is, I never accepted the legitimacy of the Presidency of George Walker Bush from 2000 to 2004. I tentatively accepted his legitimacy from 2005 to 2009 until I read that in Ohio, there was a surplus of voting machines in the suburbs and rural areas (Republican strongholds) and a deficit of voting machines in the big cities (Democrat strongholds).

Last night, the John Steward "Daily Show" presented Bill O'Reilly berating Democrats in 20001 (I think it was) for not giving the G.W. Bush administration a chance. Now, it appears that O'Reilly is refusing to give the B.H. Obama administration a chance. Seems like hypocrisy to me...

In late December, some "conservative" AM "talk host" was calling Obama the "leader of a thugocracy". This suggested that President Elect Obama was already serving as President and had enough time on the job to have displayed the character of a "leader of a thugocracy". At the time, the President Elect was still picking folks to serve in his government and hadn't ruled a day. How could this jackass of a talking head make such a statement???

I suppose the simplest answer is that he simply made an inflamatory statement and expected his listeners to take him at this word. There seems to be a lot of that going around the Conservatives in the past couple of decades. In the late 60s and 70s, we Conservatives were a lot more logical and careful about what we said.
